micah -

Glad you liked Bobby, if you get a chance you need to catch a show. He has a '47 Deering Crossfire banjo he uses in some of his shows and is equaly impressive. And I have to say, I'm really digging the new bass player - I know it's a reach, but some of his licks are almost Stanley Clarke melodic.

It hit 90 yesterday and 90 again today. Going to cool off to 82 this weekend and now that the beaches are empty of intruders )with license plates from New York, Pennsylvania, New Nersey and points northeast) it's time for our annual "Take Back The Beach" party.

We'll be putting the fall garden in in about 4 weeks - and the cycle continues.

Going to see DSO tomorrow night at the NORVA - will likely run into whirlwind dreamer. Which reminds me - I have to get the pics up of me and Jim last spring and me and Finster a month ago.

Hope you guys are well.

Condolences to your team. I thought they had Boise State - at least you got to witness one hell of a game. I won't mention the next one...

Things could get very ugly very fast in Durham this Saturday....

At least we got the disappointment out of the way early in the season instead of flopping on Wake Forest late. Did you see Beamer squirm when he was asked which loss was worse? At least he had the class to not answer. JMU came into Lane Stadium and hung tough - sure VT made mistakes and were inside the 20 5 times, but they couldn't deliver the knockout. Props to JMU.

Despite the outcome, the Boise State game was outstanding. The worst part was the 6 hour drive to get to FedEx Field (should have been 3 1/2) but at least all the traffic was caused by the freakin' tourists going home so it was bearable.

Good luck this weekend - at least Duke's players are smarter than Bama's. I could easily see VT dropping this weekend against ECU. 0-3??

I'm enjoying watching this Denard Robinson kid at Michigan to see if he can keep the pace up. He has more yardage by himself than most of the Division I TEAMS. Should be fun to watch the rest of their season unfold.
